I liked the 4 lb. for the Steelies in December on the Salmon River, when I was young enough to take the cold
The Salmon fishing can be more like opening day Trout around here.... combat fishing.
As Ed sez lots of line capacity is a must. If I hooked 6 fish in one day and landed 1 or 2 it was a great day.
You will lose a lot of them, but the runs and the fight are awesome!!
