8' 6" to 10' 6" salmon, steelhead rod. A rather deep spool that holds alot of line. The fish are very strong this time of year cus they are fresh. The fish are actually on the move as we speak. I use 8 to 10 lb test suffix for the salmon and 6 lb for the steel. Oswego River runs fast and the deep spool is very important so you dont get spooled every time you hook up. My friends and I use alot of fresh eggs and skein. Also we drift alot of flies. Give it a shot its well worth the drive...........FISH-ON
