Rvr 5/28
Hit the Valley and fished from shore on the main lake today between 6 and 10 AM.
Started out looking for trout on a 2" swimbait and caught a rockbass on my second cast. Not much action on the ultralite.
Swtiched over to bass gear and caught 2 LMB in the 1-1.5 LBS range on a finesse worm rigged wacky style. The second one I caught had a huge bass follow it in, I couldn't gauge the girth on it but length-wise but I thought it was a huge trophy trout at first and then made it out as a LMB.
Then it got totally dead after the sun broke through, only managed 1 more rockbass before calling it a day and got out of there just as the kayak crowd was getting into gear.
Gate to the main park was wide open for some reason, not sure if they forgot to lock it down but for anyone interested it was open.
