Hit Lake Ashroe on Sunday morning where I caught 6 Bluegills, a pickeral and one I'm not quite sure what it was but had a beautiful orange sheen to it. Then traded in the 1 weight rod for a 5 weight and hit the Flatbrook. Passed 1 location where I saw about 10 cars jammed in and drove a little further (just past where the Little Flatbrook dumps into the Big Flatbrook and I had the whole river to myself (well, me and 4 smaller browns about 10-12 ). On my way home, passed a pond so decided to stop , naturally and caught about 10 Crappie pretty quick and missed 1 large mama of a bass which made a huge racket. maybe next time. All in all pretty nice except for the bugs. Lots of hunters out yesterday near the Flatbrook so wear something that doesn't entirely blend in to the surroundings up there.
