Keyport Seahawk - Dinksville, USA; population: INFINITY!!
Was the title too blunt? ...ok, we had a lot of action and weeded through the shorts to put some fish in the box
every spot we went to on opening day was just overflowing with shorts. couldn't get away from them. on bottom, up higher, didn't really matter. I used my jig all day and it saved me time unhooking smaller fish but only landed 1 extra keeper vs. John using the bait rigs and nabbing plenty of porgy in the process. To make it worse while i was switching back and forth to tog fishing, I lost an absolute monster that had head shakes like a jack hammer and wouldn't come off the structure...broke me off on said structure. Brand new leader line was frayed to crap top to bottom, i think it was a sunken cargo ship for swords r' us...probably going with #50 fluoro leader next time! And then to end the day we found the albies but they wouldn't hit anything for anyone we saw out there...probably because they'd been beaten to a froth for two days straight haha ....oh well not complaining, just a real truth report... back on em next weekend! https://s3.amazonaws.com/photos.fish...0878158e9a_800 |

At least I’m not the only one drawing a blank on the albies!!! Misery loves company....:p. Couldn’t buy a hit Sunday and threw everything imaginable.

Was out Friday afternoon. Huge school's of albies everywhere. Started off with 005's no luck. Then switched to 007's and got a few but a lot of casting between fish.
