Mushin - 9/2/17 - local canyons coming alive - yellowfin & longfin
 

MUSHIN - We fished our Day 2 of the MRMTC Offshore Open on 9/2 by doing a quick day troll after the week of 5-6 days of unfishable weather. Finding good signs in a local canyon, we deployed the trolling spread and had a consistent pick through the day, starting off with quality XL yellowfin between 65 to 70#, then adding longfin later in the day. Having to get back to the scales to weigh in, we left the longfin biting. Purple/black plastics again did the trick. Water temp has stabilized to temps that tuna like (not marlin temps), and water quality was good. There was a good spread of fish, so conditions are looking good for the Fall season!Attachment 116215
