Topwater Bassers on Merrill Creek... Our 1st WIN
 

Riz, I saw you mentioned that Topwater has some opens. Me and the wife happen to catch that Topwater Bassers were holding their annual 4th of July Merrill Creek Open buddy tourney. We never fished with them before,(What a GREAT bunch of guy's) but decided it would be nice to hit Merrill Creek anyway. Well wouldn't ya know it, the cards were in our favor that day, and me and my wife got "OUR 1ST TOURNAMENT WIN" in a 30 boat field. It was such a great feeling to get that first win, something we will never forget. Here are a couple pics. Also, once I stop being so lazy, I will upload the pics from our season so far, cause I don't know about anyone else, but I love looking at pictures of the fish people catch.

Congrats on the big W !!! and late post...We were there that day too, with the park closures and all....The parks opened that day at about 7-730 a.m...Got a call from a park employee but we were already on the creek....Couldn't wait those extra couple hours for the parks we wanted to fish were open, soooo we settled fer merrill creek.....Those fish at the other lakes were damn lucky that day....

Sorry for the ramble, gr8 win!!! Ya lucky SOB , who gets his wife to come with him (and compete at that)

congrats on the win rich. that's a nice sack of fish . eddie runs a nice club . its a great feeling when ya win .

on another note- I may be running an open or two on the sheds in the fall but im still finalizing it. can I post it on this site if it comes to fruition or would that be a "no no".im kinda a new guy to this site and I don't wanna do anything wrong. maybe someone can advise me. on another note do you guys do any get togethers or stuff ???

Thanks guy's. Cant remember exactly the weight, but it was 14LBS and change. The LM my wife caught was 4.9lbs, and was beat out with one just over 5lbs. A GREAT day all in all for sure.

That is awesome there Rich. I am also lucky enough to have a wife that likes to fish and we fish together all the time. Never competitively though...I'm not good enough for that kind of pressure.

Congrats on the win. Maybe we'll see you out on the water sometime.
