It worked but the second photo was too big > 5.0 meg. Downsize worked.

These things are one reason I dont like wading where I cant see, such as under bridges.

Nice catch man. I figure its hard work if your all by yourself to grab it

I had one hit a jig in a tourney years back on highland lakes. of course it happens then. wasn't going near it . omg:eek:

you can't just post the link you have to click the yellow box above the text area that says 'insert image' and paste the link in there. then it will place the full image in your post rather than the link, but the link worked.

ok, thanks. I caught the snapper in the Millstone River on my homemade corn meal bait, then released it near the Delaware River. I weighed it with my Cabela's certified scale by weighing the bucket with the turtle in it. Caught 45 turtles this year. Only 2 were snappers. Last year I caught more than 25 snappers. 37 lber was the heaviest that I ever caught. It's very difficult landing snappers as they spin, snap and hiss. I grab their tail but sometimes it's too slippery and I lose my grip. Didn't lose a finger yet. It's much safer to cut the line when a snapper is on the end of it.

that's an old dude! this guy was about 25lbs (found out later you're not supposed lift them by the tail)
