FISHERMEN/Sundays Fishing Report.....
First couple drifts were slow to start the morning, once the change went through we started slugging away. Had Fish & Wildlife out with us recording some of the customers catches, 9 Customers were selected and at the end of the day just those 9 totaled 84 short fish!! With the rest of the boat it had to be close to 250 shorts going back! Several of the guys still managed 2 nice keepers along with some Sea Bass. Sea bass didn't bite as well as the weekend, I think the swell had something to do with that. Bill V, Keyport, finally had a couple nice fish including the pool fish at just under 7 pounds. Lenny had two nice fish along with Danny, Howie and a couple others. My Sunday jiggers couldn't get it done though, so they are on a time out till next week!! Bait was the better of the two ways to fish for us today.....Back at it tomorrow. CHARTERED SATURDAY MORNING THE 29TH. Capt. Ron |

Re: FISHERMEN/Sundays Fishing Report.....
....... Short fish ...... How many did Fish And Wildlife say were belly up after release ? What was the focus of their study ?

Re: FISHERMEN/Sundays Fishing Report.....
that count was only from laura, there was a young man with her and he did 9 or 11 other people to not sure how many, i know for a fact that not 1 fish went back belly up because she commented on it when i asked her how many fish she measured. not sure what the study was about......... but you answered a lot of questions before they got started.
she was real nice lady pleasent and grateful, she also took the fish off the hook, measured it, told you if it was a keeper or short, and if it was good put it in your cooler. |
Re: FISHERMEN/Sundays Fishing Report.....
