Crabbing

Want to rent a rowboat either this weekend or next. Where should I go, Bayville, Navesink?? Anyone with any reports?

Navesink is loaded with all sizes. If the day is a scorcher just anchor under the Oceanic Bridge and use landlines and a scab net.

The crabbing has been excellent in the Beaver Dam Creek. You can rent a boat at Starks Marina

Re: Crabbing

Thanks for the info guys....I used to crab the Beaver Dam, renting from Starcks many years ago, but never did well there, but times have changed. I see that their rowboat rentals are about 80% higher than anyone else in the Nav and Barnegat. Wondering what's up with that? I'll keep an eye on the Navesink.... Thanks again.

Re: Crabbing

I live on the Beaverdam and my neighbors daughter is a crabbing maniac and I've been a beneficiary. Other neighbors grandkids have been getting lots of big ones as well. No idea why Starks is so expensive. Lots of crabs in the bay as well I've caught more crabs than fluke in the bay.
