Potash Lake huh? Skunkaruski, but still....

Hi gang, Mark here... new guy today (Thanks for the add, Gerry)

My g/f and I hit Potash ~6am this morning looking to try our hand at our new Keitech's and new body of water for us (bad combo?). Got a few nibbles, and one huuuuge blowup on my g/f's line, but alas, he leaped, and spit....guessing 3 to 4lbs.

Still a great day on the water regardless. (right? Lie to me please) Also spotted a tournament there today... ended up lending out my pliers to 2 dudes, one of them hooked his foot (barefoot boat fishing?) reeeal good.. OUCH!!!!.. And most of the other fisherman said it was dead most of the day, 'cept maybe 1 guy..

Cheers

Mark

welcome to the site that's why they call it fishing and not catching keep at it you will get em next time. cant understand why people fish in flip flops or bare feet with hooks, teeth and fin stickers  not a good idea.

welcome to the site . its a good one. always nice to talk fishing. I joined few weeks back. like others have said keep at it. time on the water is the best educator . as for the hook in the foot  man that's nuts. what even more surprising is how can they not have at least a pair of pliers on the boat.

It's a great lake, but definitely hit or miss. I usually give it a shot after I take one too many skunkings from Monksville :p

As for the foot-hooker, you see they don't have to pass a test to enter the tourney...just saying.

Good luck, and welcome to the site.

Welcome! I paddled from the berm to the school on pl and got 2 bass, and everyone else at the launch got the skunk except one guy wit a medium pike. The big rain and the carp humping there everything didn't help. Action was better later in the week
