Bluefish in Manasquan
 

Stopped by inlet yesterday around 7:00pm to find people catching Blues at the wall alot of fish were caught on the incoming tide fish were 2 to 5lbs

My son and I were there (Pt. Pleasant Side) from 8:30-12 this morning. We combined for 13 from #3-7. Shad tails on a lead head was the preferred bait (although Jason did get on on metal) during the last of the incoming but during the first few hours of the out going we hammered them on SP Minnows and X-Raps. Saw about 6-8 other fish caught on our side and another 6 on the Manasquan side.

I caught 48 bluefish and a striped bass there in 10 trips this year. Tagged and released 45 blues and 1 bass but didn't get a tag return yet. Tagged my 7,800th fish and 2,200th bluefish this week. This storm may end the run in the inlet.
