good karma

fished the pohtcong yesterday, started out slow , driving on the road along the river I see a man laying face down on the edge of the creek .
I thought maybe he was trying to grab a fish the he dropped. then i realized he had fell down . I jumped out of my truck an ran down to help him up .
i asked if he any pain , or if he thought he broke any bones , he said no , then helped him back on the bank . turns out he was 80 years old . asked him a few questions an he answered them correctly. saw he was bleeding from his arm . turns out he had peeled some skin back . looked worse then it was .rapped arm up in clean rag I had .then I just sat there with him for about 20 min. till he felt a little better . helped him to his car . wished him good luck an off i want . thats when the kama kick in ended the day releasing 15 trout .

Anglers helping anglers. The way it should be. Sad to say that this day and age many people would have not stopped. Kudos to you.

Good stuff !! Had a similar thing happen to me during the Musconetcong river clean up a few years ago. We were pretty much done cleaning and I started fishing, looked down stream and this very old man slid off the bank into the river. It was April and the water was cold. Took myself and another angler all our strength to pull the guy up and sit him on the bank. He was soaked and very cold. After about fifteen minutes he was able to stand up and we got him to his car.

thanks , I'm sure you all would have jumped in to action , if you were in the same situation. When I'm 80 years old I hope to still be able to get on the streams.
