kayakers

I only started kayak fishing last summer in smaller lakes. My question is for this time of year if you have a SOT what are you wearing? Dry suit, wet suit, waders, something else? The water is still pretty cold on a lot of lakes, what are you wearing to stay dry and God forbid tip over?

Thanks.

I'd be in a dry suit or heavy duty wet suit until water hit high 60s low 70s.

whatever else you wear, don't forget the PFD. classic quote "It is impossible to get hypothermic in cold water unless you are wearing flotation, because without flotation – you won’t live long enough to become hypothermic."

Wife and I wear our drysuits until the water warms up . If you wind up in the water with the wrong attire it's a big problem .

I was always told a good guideline is the 120 rule 120 deg F combined temp.
If the water is 50f air needs to be 70f
And cotton kills
