Any of you fish central NJ ?

I grew up in Manalapan and now live in Jackson. Grew up fishing Englishtown Mill Pond. I see lots of posts about up north - just curious if anyone is down in my area. I don't get out too often but would be cool to wet a line with someone from the area. Cheers, IA

BTW - hit Englishtown today -no luck. Ran over to non-stocked Colliers Mill. Had never been there before. I picked up some bluegills, a perch, some largemouth and a pickerel.

Turkey Swamp has some decent LMBs and Channel Cats (on microwaved hot dogs, beware the Snapping Turtles), you can rent rowboats here. Manasquan Reservoir is best in the area but a boat with electric motor is key. Molder's still rules but u must pay for the trout . . . Metedeconk River in Jackson produces, Lake Shenendoah (Lakewood) has Pike, Prosperstown Lake in Jackson has less life (for me) since it was drained.

Jackson is central NJ? When did that happen? Don't you know everything below the Driscoll bridge is South Jersey and/or the beach? :D :p

Some good spots mentioned above. Pine Lake in Manchester and Lake Riviera in Brick are good for pickerel, with a few bass mixed in. There are some BIG bass in Lake Carasaljo in Lakewood, but they are heavily pressured and tough to catch. Shenandoah also has tiger musky (supposedly, I have never heard of one caught there).

I thought everything below Route 80 was south Jersey.

I have lived in Jackson for about 20 years now, I never liked to fish Prosperstown lake, never anything big, Now that the dam broke some years back and they drained it, since it filled back in and they re-located the fish back into the lake, I have a couple friend that go there, and from what I hear, the place has been AWESOME, with BIG large Mouth's being landed, and i mean just last week. They dont use a boat, they fish from land with chest waiters.

I was told by a sports shop in Waretown that everything above that was North Jersey. Hey Irish, I have a lockdown method on trout in the Manasquan river if you want to hook up shoot me a PM
