Good night on the big lake
started at 6:30pm in search of crappies and found them right away.played c&r till
it was dark then started throwing the bigger baits.was casting for maybe 30 minutes with out a bump.made another cast and bam, game on.a small eye that had allot of heart .let him go and 10 minutes later i am tight again but after a short fight it was gone.20 minutes later i get smashed right as the lure is coming out of the water.another small eye released.fished another half hour and called it quits.there were a few hybrids caught last night also.can't wait to get back up there tonight. |

Nice job with the eyes! I fished yesterday from late morning till about 5:30pm. It was very slow and took all day to find feeding fish. The wind and cold night prior I'm sure was most of the reason for the lockjaw. When we did find them later in the day it was good action though. I did catch a very heavy crappie at 14" too. The thing that shocked me was it was a male!
