Finally got the ONE on opening day
 

Decided to sleep in and skip the crowd today. Got to the river at around noon and saw that there were a couple of people at the spot I wanted to fish in. Decided to move up the river and hit some holes along the way. Got a couple of fish up river then made my way back down to the hole I was gonna fish. Fished the hole for about half and hour then out of nowhere my drag started screaming. Got a couple of turns on the fish and it said no way and took some more line and decided to stay in the middle of the river with the current. With my ultralight set up I couldn't move it out of the current until it started to swim down river that's when I was able to finesse it to the bank and land the fish. Got lucky cause as soon as it hit the net the hook came out. The added bonus to all of this was it was caught on a rod I built over the winter.
