Lang Boats

OK so I just bought a 28 Lang Flybridge that needs some TLC. The hull is in great shape but the rest of the boat needs a good going over. A great father son project. Does anyone of you have any experience with Lang boats. Everything I have read so far is that they were great boats just slow. Horse power can probably solve some of that.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Re: Lang Boats

The major designer of our original umbrella rigs which where brought down from Montauk in the mid seventies & sold on the NJ coast by myself & Capt Mike Verges owned a 28' Lang & chartererd the boat for many seasons .
The hulls were very well built & I don't remember Capt John Sekora ever having a major issue other than normal maintenance with his boat .
I've only seen a couple of these hulls over the last 40 seasons , never had enough time on one to form an opinion .
