Cong Slabs

Fished yesterday morning and afternoon at the cong. The wind was horrible and we didn't get a single bite in the am. The afternoon warmed up and we found some biting in coves protected by the wind on fatheads. Endned up with 12 perch and 10 crappie plus a pickerel and a sunny.
Today was a totally different animal. Skipped the morning and fished the afternoon with 0 wind and beautiful glass lake conditions. We tried fatheads first and caught a couple. Then we worked jigs under a bobber and it was on. It was almost every cast we'd hook up and two man limit happened in 2 hours. We culled fish for the next 2-3 hours and left by 6pm. We caught probably 60+ crappie and 2 big perch. Color was definitely black with chartreuse for action. Kept our limit of slabs to build up for a fish fry.
