live bait for ice fishing
 

Going to give ice fishing a shot this year, but not sure where i can get live bait. I know we have guys from all over on this site, so hopefully someone is familiar with bait shops open thru the winter. I am in the Phillipsburg area. Anyone know where i can get small minnows or wax worms. Thanks guys.
And any other bait suggestions are welcome

Only one that comes to mind is in Pohatcong township.

Address is 89 Rt 519 but I do not remember a name for it.

Should be others as well around but not familiar with that area much.

pet shops sell wax worms as live food for reptiles/birds

Not sure how much the owls nest carries in the winter. I know hi wayou sports shop in Washington carries bait through out winter, and as mentioned behre off of 22 Lebanon is another option

I recommend hi way sport if its not too out of the way. Family owned business and they have good bait. Irene Yash and Keith are all good people.

Thanks for the tips guys, Lebanon and Wash will definitely work for me. A little out of the way, but not too bad. Fishing further north. Thanks again, and everyone be safe out there on the ice!!!!!

That would be the owls nest, that guy is almost never open, at least when i go there.
