Very nice. Those fish are a blast to catch. I used to target them all the time in Florida. Much stronger than a largemouth.

Cool. A few lakes up north supposedly have them but I've tried a couple of times to get one and failed.

Nice one and a lucky catch! They can cut you off easy with 2lb line! Still another fish I need to catch haha.

Yeah, I used 20lb leader when I fished for them. Caught them up to at least 12lbs. They have a mouth full of teeth. Google bowfin skull and it looks like a critter out of a horror movie!

My second favorite fish to target behind walleye. My spot was ruined because the locals thought they were killing snakeheads.

Seen a handful up north while bowfishing but a lot more numerous in south jersey. Still don't see many but definitely fishable populations.

Love catchin` Bowfin & Snakeheads!! They both fight better than any bass in my book! Violent fish when they hit!
