Tank Smallie, PB Pickerel 10/8
 

Went up to the shed yesterday morning to get few hours of fishing in. Hit the stear first only to find the gate to the launch chained up. :mad: I guess after last weekends incident they decided it was to low to keep open. After that we hit plan B, sure glad we did. Caught 6 smallies and 2 pickerel. Pops got the first fish, a good size pickerel. I followed it up with a new PB!! Didn't measure it but it was bigger than a lot of the pike I've caught. Fought great pulling drag and all.

Little while later and a change of location we came up to an exposed rock pile and I thought I snagged up on the rocks. That is until I saw a giant smallie go airborne! Got em in the net and saw a good 4-5 pound football!! Easily my biggest this year. Got a few more smallies over the next hour or so and called it a day. Great conditions and the fish were active.

Way to make it happen! So many people stop fishin once summers over! I just don't understand it! Fall is prob the Best Time of year to be fishing IMO! Fish are fat and hungry and if you find them they usually will cooperate!!!! Smallies and Hybrids have been chewin really good lately. Walleyes and Trout aren't far behind! Those are some sweet pic's and a MONSTER SMALLLIE!!! Congrats!

There is no reason to ever stop fishing! Nice smallie! I'm on the hunt for a record breaker but been catching more largies than smallies...go figure

One of the greatest fresh water fish to catch! That smallie is a tank for sure! Great job, amazing how round they get when they get that size! Nice pickerel as well, nothing beats fall fishing!

Nice day on the water for you. I was close to going out today on Echo Lake. Charged my batteries and put the hitch on my car and was ready to go but it was raining hard when I went outside and the forecast wasn't promising, so I decided instead to pack for my paddle trip the the ADKs this week. Looks like I made a bad decision.

Congrats on the PB G! The Pickerel is nice and long. And that friggin Smallie is enormous, wow! Gorgeous fish dude! Way to go!!! YEA BUDDY!!!:D
