Curious Beaver in the D&R South Bound Brook
Came across this little guy on the canal the other night. He had no fear of me and at first I thought it was an otter until I saw the tail. He swam back and forth in front of me for almost an hour, I had to keep track of him because I didn't want to accidentally foul hook him on a retrieve. Good indicator of healthy water in the D&R.

saw one in the canal a few years ago at the walking bridge down from the Queens Bridge parking area. noticed a lot of chewing along the banks in that area this year. be careful, they're known to attack.

There's one down here in Mercer County. Nasty guy that doesn't like kayaks.
