South branch Raritan River

My son is playing baseball at diamond nation in Flemington the whole weekend and I just noticed right down the road was the Southbranch Raritan River, anybody know any spots that me and my wife can go fishing off land in between games? Also what kind of fish are in that part of the river we should be fishing for? Thanks for your help

Right down the street is a pull off on the left. Caught some nice smallies upstream on senkos. Good luck!

Thanks for the info fellas, I didnt get to fish as expected (It was killing me) but I did take a ride to the pull off on the left I believe you were talking about, and WOW, I took a walk down to the river, and standing on the rocks, it did look like a great hole. It was right by the train bridge. I WILL remember this for the next time. Thanks again guy's.
