Hopatcong Conditions

Hey All,

Anyone been out fishing Hopatcong? Any input on water temp and weedbed conditions would be helpful. Thanks...

still swarming with jack asses, most weeds are mostly crap like every year (covered in turds) deeper weed lines probably better. The weed harvesters and yahoos left loose weeds all over pretty much everywhere shallow. Idk the water temp probably still around 80 maybe 78-79 with the cooler nights the other week.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not sure if the best part of fall fishing is the feed-up or the lesser amount of crazies?

I went out Saturday afternoon with some buddies. We did very well with the hybrids and water was 74 degrees

Was there yesterday-surface temp 74-76. Water clarity not too good...somewhere between ethylene glycol & yellow Gatorade. But better than GWL currently.

A lot of weed die off, floating weed masses. Marked fish on structure but not concentrated. Fish seemed spread out. A lot of promising mark off Elbas Point but no takers.

It was a white perch festival on the rock pile, 12-15" fish eating all of my dam herring & only one 12" HBSB that was hanging with the perch school. No pics cause all where just bait in my book.

By noon the yahoos were hammering around the water like there someplace to go so we GTFO before we were run over by the ragata of the clueless.

Gonna have to get sick real soon during the week soon though an enjoy a day there again soon....I think I feel a tickle in throat now.
