Clinton Reservoir Sunday

Went out on Clinton on Sunday. I was with my girlfriend who is new to fishing so I set her up with a Trick Worm, whacky rigged with a shaky jig head.

Before I wetted a line I thought I would show her how to work the lure and took a cast to demonstrate and pulled in a 12 inch smallie on the first cast of the day.

I joked that either this was going to be one heck of a day of fishing, or this would be the only fish we would catch.

Unfortunately, it was closer to the latter. After 5 hours on the water we had two additional dink bass to show for it. One LM and one SM, both about 10 inches. When the fishing got really slow we hit some of the geocaches along the shore.

Nice day to be on the water, fish or not.

Ay, sounds like a good day to me!! Better then no fish. That geocaching seems pretty cool too. Was thinking as a fisherman, we really do get to a bunch of secluded spots to make the find that much more interesting! Ever see "interesting" things while caching out there? I'm sure it's brought ppl to some cool experiences.

I know if u get near the Appalachian trail- people leave trail swag for each other
Beer in a cold steam or a cooler- ect ect- there's websites devoted to it- very cool and fun

I've discovered lots of interesting things. Abandoned structures, mines, hidden waterfalls, Indian shelters, caves. I've even discovered new places to fish while geocaching. A lot of people like to hide them in cool locations.
