worked along the big D between Lambertville & Frenchtown last night & again this morning.

the bite was on...get out there fellows!

caught 3 smallies & lost two last night plus follows/hits.

took the gf out today - she's usually fisherman of the day and we both had multiple hookups with smallies. the heartbreak was a very solid cat that broke off during the netting. had eyes on him multiple times as I reeled him in and then spooled me out. fight was probably more fun than just a catch haha

action was on CPs & Mepps- including the kitty

Sounds like a great trip. How r the bugs down that way? I felt like this year by me wasn't as bad. Yea sometimes I think the hook up and the fight are the fun part. Then snap a photo release is cool too, but boom strike adrenaline!
Cp spinner or crank? I got some mepps knock offs that the stocked rainbows love. Totally random gift love em.
Also good job, happy girl friend fishing makes for easy trip, easy life

bugs weren't bad at all- there was a light breeze to help.

Cp spinner- I've been using them more and more and productive in lots of scenarios.

she's great & low key. she's from south jersey & usually out fishes me when it comes to pickerel & large mouth haha
