Breach

Was drifting this morning about 500 yards east of the tip of the Navy Pier when 50 feet off my stern a 3 1/2 to 4 ft shark breached. Not sure what type as it showed me it's bright white belly only. I am sure it was not a Thresher though. Was pretty cool experience and the slap it made was loud.

Re: Breach

It was probally a Sturgeon Rats they have been going airborne for the past month from West Bank to the Ammo Pier. Some small but have seen them over 6 foot going completely out of the water and the splash is impossible to not hear lol. Pretty cool stuff!!!

many brown sharks are in the deep channel off of that pier for many years...he guys who wade out there during LOW tide have encountered them when they fish stripers..

Re: Breach

Fins wrong for a Sturgeon. I've seen plenty of Sturgeon breaches in the Delaware.
