7/3 Raritan fluking.....

Started off with a real nice drift at sun up and it went downhill from there. Last hour of the outgoing put a 24" and 21" in the box. Sat thru the turn and never really got going again. Where was that predicted wind this afternoon???

Worked the whole length of the Reach. Deeper was better. Bait dragging did better than BT's. Blues were a complete nuisance tearing rigs up constantly. Been awhile since I double headered on demons!!!

Fluke, blues and robins puking up 2" peanuts on deck all day. Easily boated 30 + flatties with countless 17.99999" in the mix.

Had a whale breach 5' from the boat unexpectedly around 730. I must admit, that scared the $hit outta me!!! Tried to get a pic but it dove and didn't resurface for another 50 yds slowly heading west into the raritan.

Nice job Duff. Good to see all that life in the Bay this year. I saw a ginormous sea turtle by the sailboats in Keyport last week. Reach remains fishy and whales=lotsa bait. See ya out there . . . .
