Fished with my brother from Boston and my dad for a short morning trip. Water was packed as expected but managed 8 keepers up to 6lbs on Charteuse bucktails and Nuclear Chicken. Great day with the guys.

Do you typically use a weighted bucktail? Or just a skirt?

Just curious. Nice catch! Was out the same day and managed fluke to 17.5" of course.

Also got mine on all nuclear chicken but just bare Gulp on the hook with three orange beads on the line.

We use 1 oz to 6 oz depending on how strong the current is. Whatever allows you to keep your bucktail vertical is ideal!! In the bay 1 to 3 oz is usually sufficient, once in the ocean 6 oz can even be to light at times. I always start with white and if that doesn't work go to Charteuse. Then there's pink and every other color out there but white and chart are my go to colors.

Thanks for the reply! I've only recently started giving Gulp a true chance. So far so good!
