scouting mission on the cong
 

went to my usual haunts on the cong amid the googans,wakes,wind and the weeds to scout out some smb and lmb to no avail.however did manage to catch four slime darts,two perch in the 11/12" range, a crappie and a 24"walleye.all fish except the crappie were caught in the morning.with the stew lant contest on the horizon this is not good,i might be in trouble.i did not even see any decent size bass anywhere. shallow coves,docks,weedlines,rockpiles etc.i was amazed how fast the weeds are growing and how bad the googan salad is getting= alot of mop collecting and lure cleaning should be interesting :rolleyes:

jeez that sounds terrible! i'm going to be doing the same thing a few days early this week. maybe i should use hookless lures so i don't actually hook any bass and maybe they'll wait for me for sunday in the same spots hahaha

i don't think hookless lures will help chris. the other bass chapter clubs have been out there trying to bring fish to the scales too. hey i know i will fish for walleyes sunday and then i will catch bass,:rolleyes: haha

yeah tough weekend on the puddle...the 30 bass boats barreling out of Lees Sat Morning probably didn't help things
