Ocean County Bassin'
 

I had a volunteer event for work today at Island Beach State Park (painting lifeguard stands on a sunny Friday at the shore....sure beats being in the office) so I decided to stop on the way for some fishing. Hit up Shenandoah Lake for a bit but wasn't feeling it so I hit up a nearby pond with about 15 minutes to fish before I had to be on my way. Caught the bass in the link below on my first cast and called it a win. First decent bass I have caught on a senko this year. The Event ended early so now I am going home, picking up the kayak and hitting the Raritan River for the first time. Probably going to launch in Bound Brook or Piscataway targeting some smallies. With any luck I will be posting more fish pics tonight!

nice bass and on the first cast too not bad bro.were you familiar with that lake or was that your first visit there?

First time there, just got lucky. I can't seem to catch a thing in the rivers and ponds I fish daily but for some reason I usually have good luck whenever I hit new random places while traveling.
