Local 'yaking

Got out today at the tail end of the rain and while it was overcast. Little local lake, it's a dammned up stream, not crazy with the weeds. Just right . Between the two of us got 10lmb(decent size for the water we were in ) 3 pickerel 2 perch and a ballsy sunnie.

Fish were nailing rapala and one on a spinner, and a few on a senko with some sardine oil on em.
Had about 2x as many hits, water was clear enudf for a while to see if it was pickerel or bass(only 3 were bass, better aim)

Bought some scupper plugs, no more wet butt. What a difference!
Great day

Wind was cooking. Gave up at five. Hard to get casts in. Wind was cold being all wet

@skunk- had in the title, I cut it down(overthinking) I'm not big on secret spots, north nj is too small, I'm sure everyone knows them anyways!

Plus, half the fun is seeing who can get what where. Kid works at tackle and field nailed a huge bass in rainbow valley day after me. Turns out they like grub jigs
