I ran into those years back on a boat delivery in the Gulf , few hours of wrestling with them lasted a lifetime ! belive at that time they referred to them as ocean donkeys or reef donkeys ! Soon as u hooked them close to oil rig frame U had to run to back of boat or else gone , this boat was a 70' so at least U had a chance. Went thru every big Hopkins I had in a couple of hours !
A couple came up,and tried swallowing my props off Key West on a slow troll with my old 21' Whaler in the 70's .
