Meadow River, West Virginia 5-28
 

Fished some small water today with the ultra light looking for more smallies and got them good again. Unfortunately, I've been cursed with little ones. I stopped counting after a dozen smallmouth and 3 rock bass or should I say red eyes like the locals do. I jumped a real nice one in the beginning of the day and lost what I thought was a monster at the end 😡. I'll be back down there tomorrow I think. All the action was on 1/8 jig heads with 3" grubs or kitechange. I'm loving the clean majestic waters here.

Just curious as to the name of the river ? Were you able to get any good local intel ? Water look very nice and clear.

The picture is from the confluence of the meadow and gauley rivers. Yesterday I fished the new river but I think I prefer this area. I've gotten lots of good info from locals. They all are very nice and welcoming.

Nice fish gotta love those bronze backs. They are extra strong fighting in river current. Keep whacking 'em and stacking 'em
