Raritan river 5/18/16:

Hit up the ribber with Shucker and started at South Bound Brook. I got a few smallies and a few tiny striped bass. Hooked a big quillback in the dorsal fin and it had me running up and down the river, thought it was a large shad at first.
We moved down river and got into some decent action, nothing big but it beat the hell out of stocked trout. Fish looked healthy and fought good. Don't think this fishing will hold up much longer as water warms and these fish find safe haven elsewhere. 100% C&R on these guys. Shucker did get a nice one, hybrid ???? |

Epic slaying guys. That's awesome stuff right there. That striper is awesome looking. The slightly broken stripes and shape make me think hybrid!

Now that's a good time! All caught on the magic jigs Andy? That's a big ole river BRID! They do exist in most big river systems! Congrats to Shucker on that catch. Hard to come by! Great action all around fellaz! With a little rain in the forecast, "Where will these fish be tomorrow?" HMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!:D

Nice slaying of those bass, and the one with the broken stripes is a hybrid they all have those on them. Plus they are shaped like an NFL football. That's how you tell them apart from the regular striped bass.

Nice looking bag of fish fellaz! Even that crayfish is pretty big, you try baiting him up for a beast?
