Rainy Day Bows & Browns 5/4
Had the day off yesterday so I decided to spend a little time in the AM harassing some trout. Recent rains had the stream flowing nicely and the overcast skies had em biting. Managed to hook up with 5 bows, landing 3 and keeping 2. The stockies were in surprisingly good shape and put up valiant fights. One of them got airborne a couple times. Also brought 3 wild browns to hand, one of which was pretty nice at 8/9 inches.
Stopped at sports authority on the way home to see what was left in the fishing dept and they were nearly picked clean already!! Still spent about $50 on various lures and some flouro leader, all at 30-40% off!! Couldn't believe how fast they were cleaned out but it won't be long before they lock up for good...... http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/...IMAG0295_1.jpg http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/...IMAG0302_1.jpg |

Thanks man the bows were all over that one. Even had one completely clear the water in a failed attempt to bite it. The browns came on metal.
Feel free to p.m. me an approximate location of where these cooperative eyes might be found....... :):D:) |
