Yesterday evening I made 22 casts into Manasquan Inlet with Hopkin's metals and landed 10 bluefish. Smallest was 9 lbs. Kept 6 and tagged and released 4. Had big blues on my line for my first 17 consecutive casts. They stole both of my Hopkin's rigs. It was an outstanding trip for a 69 year old jetty fisherman.

When I returned the next day, > 100 fishermen were lined up on both sides of the inlet from the end of the jetty to the dog beach. Fishermen surrounded my spot but I managed to land 6 bluefish from 9.75 lbs to 38.5" and 17 lbs. I tagged a 17 lber and 10 lber. The dredge Currituck was in my spot for awhile when I arrived. A big blues broke rods and bit fishermen. 7" yellow Bomber Long A17 and poppers worked well for me. I may try 1 more day there.
