Took my son out again to see if we could catch his first trout. Ended up fishing a small pond in central NJ. When we get there...I tell him that I am going to setup a rod baited with a hotdog to see if we could catch a catfish. So, rig it up, put it in the rod holder, and told him that if you see that rod bend...call me because I needed to setup the other rods for him. I turn my head, and next thing I know...he's setting the hook and reeling in what I thought was going to be a snapping turtle.
