We finally got the STRIPER season started today with a couple of handfuls of customers who didn't mind the cold this morning.

We looked in several different areas and saw good fish readings and all the bait you could want which for this time of the year is a very good sign.

Some of the fish readings produced some short BASS and a few KEEPERS to 20lbs, along with several fish lost. Everything was caught on the swim baits or Run Off gold Croc's and Hammer jigs.

All in all it was an encouraging start to the STRIPER season.

Monday's weather forecast with winds to 30 knots will keep us at the dock,but we will be back out STRIPER fishing as soon as the winds stops blowing.

The GOLDEN EAGLE sails everyday at 7:30am (weather permitting) for STRIPERS from Belmar Marina in Belmar, NJ.
