A River of Beer?

I've been hanging out recently at a new pub in Bloomingdale called The River of Beer. One of the nice things about it is that their property is on the Pequannock River (hence the name). I've been eying the stretch all winter, as there are some nice holes there.

The owner says he is OK with patrons bringing their rods, grabbing a beer and setting up on the shore. He even set up benches along the river for anglers or anyone who wants to suck down a pint while fishing or simply watch the river flow by. I have no connection with the place other than drinking beer there, but I will be bringing my rod along from here on in.

Sounds like a good place for a good time.

Trout and craft beer. What is better than that?

That's cool.
There used to be a dive bar near the Passaic River in Chatham. People called it "The Passaic River Yacht Club". :D

A while back there was an ice cream shop on Route 46 up near the Gap on the banks of the Delaware River. They always allowed patrons to fish on the property. I recall one time, they allowed some bow fishermen to drag the metal picnic tables out into the river and stand on them.

The ice cream shop seems to have gone out of business and nobody has re-opened the business in quite a few years.

The name of the place was King Coles, Never re-opened after being flooded out again several years ago.
