They are getting them North of the Gap....

i am thinking about taking off Friday and making it an Andre style all fishing weekend..

Friday - Big D for shad
Saturday - opening day trout
Sunday - trolling for trout

Netter down south only got a few last nite , once he starts catching well they should be available in most areas !

The numbers really aren't there yet fellas! I was out 5 times already this year! My best day was last Wednesday during the full moon! They were going nuts for lemon lime south of 78! Most of them were smaller Bucks! The temps need to regulate a bit. Once they do it's game on for a while! Be patient, once this crazy weather passes it's gooooooooooo time! Good luck to all the Shad fanatics including myself!

TIGHT LINEZ!!!

I agree with FE. Weather plays a big role in fishing for Shad, especially if you wade for them like some of us love to do. The drastic drops in temp and high winds usually have put the kibosh on the shad bite for me in the past. The temp drops usually give the Shad lockjaw and casting 6 or 8 lb test on windy days is a challenge to say the least. Just looking at the extended forecast for the week I think I'll be hitting the Gap next weekend and hopefully I'll have until mid May to have some fun. Good luck guys!!
