Just an FYI---there is now a $5.00 fee to launch a boat at mountain lake. Supposedly they monitor with cameras. At least my 30in muskie made it worthwhile.

been like that for a while now. makes you wonder...why was it free for so long, but not anymore, why are other ramps still free...if it's public water (which it is) there should have to be some kind of free public access?...who's getting this money? it sure as hell not to maintain that ramp cause it's just rocks poured into a slant.

I thought our fishing license fees and and the excise tax we pay on fishing equipment is supposed to pay for things like launch ramps. :confused:

I know a couple of non-anglers from work who were trying to launch their kayaks from the boat launch at Round Valley last summer -and the CO or Park Police kicked them out! :D ha ha ha ha
