3-24 Philly Salmon
 

headed out after work & was greeted with hard wind blowing me off my crappie spot I couldn't even cast! so I walked around to a warm shallow protected cove & decided to try for some salmon. Put out a rod while I worked a jig hoping to find some crappies nothing going on about 20 minutes in ROD GOES OFF! get my 2nd salmon of the year a solid fish prolly 6-7lbs. Cast bait back out & decide to rig up my other rod before I could thread the guides baaaaaaaammmmmm #2 is on! get him in & rebait. AGAIN! before I could rig the 2nd rod another salmon goes upstream almost taking my rod in the water!. Get him in get the bait back out & put second rod out & that was it not another bite. waited another hour & sun was starting to go down so I walked back to the crappie spot & landed 2 small ones. Was great landing the carps though so strong & that drag screaming is the greatest sound around!
