Do U guys have any safe ice up there yet?
Little chill this morning down here it was 54 I'm gonna get out this wend hunt some Snook and Reds.

Willie! Hope your doing well with the Snook and Redfish! Go get em! We had some good ice in the early season spots but that got washed away with the rain we had Saturday and Sunday. All is good though! Lots of cold weather heading for NJ this week!

i'm enjoying the extended open water season while eddie is trying to force me to ice fish!

actually my last few trips have been pretty bad, maybe nature is trying to force me to ice fish too...

Ice firming up now. We have a couple of inches on some of the smaller bodies of water in Vernon. Should be good to go this weekend on all the smaller bodies of water up my way. However, that being said the bigger impoundments will still be a no go this weekend in my opinion. Be safe, no fish is worth your life and ice thickness can change quickly on the larger bodies of water.

cong is not recovering from the rain last weekend...it's been so cold and it's just not freezing towards the main lake from the back coves...maybe the wind messing with it?

Didn't expect much with the wind this week, a strong wind can actually up well warmer water from the bottom as it pushes the tip layer of water to one side of the lake the water has to be replaced from some where. Hasn't been brutally cold either we need single digit nights to really see progress not 15-20 degree nights and mid 30s during the day
