Holiday Browns and Bows 12/22

In the midst of the holiday madness I found some free time on Tuesday to get in a few casts. Downpoured the whole ride out but luckily stopped when I got there. Had a quick chat with a member of the local PD while I was gearing up. I was thinking he probably thought I was crazy fishing in the rain in December but he agreed the rain would probably make the fishing better, lol. He wished me good luck and merry Christmas and I did the same.

Over the course of a few hours I managed to battle 2 really nice browns and 2 of the most colorful bows I've ever seen. All fish hit with aggression and fought hard. Couldn't have asked for more from a balmy overcast December day!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Thanks all, definitely all quality fish that day! Actually took one bow home that was bleeding from one gill, had a deformity on the other, and wouldn't swim off. The meat was salmon pink and way better than the spring time stockie "white meat"!!!

Chrisper, these fish were from "across the border"........
