Best pike day of the year !!

WOW, after not being in my kayak in weeks due to work and hunting, I had a couple hour window this afternoon, after hunting in the morning and heading into the city for work. Great weather and river conditions made for a great trip.

By far, my best pike trip of the year with at least 10 landed and at least that many missed strikes. Not sure if the missed strikes were short strikes, or I was just rusty from not being in the river for almost 2 months.

Pretty much all quality fish in the upper 20's and low to mid 30 inch range. Of course the biggest of the day pulled me into a weed bed and as I tried to steer away with one hand on the paddle, the hook came lose and almost caught me in the eye !

A great day and I haven't posted a pike picture in some time, so I am loading up this post with pictures !! LOL
