11-4 Canyon Report
We had a pretty good trip to the canyon Tuesday /Wednesday.
The catch was mostly yellowfin and some longfin. We also landed 5 swordfish and lost another that weighed about 300lbs.
There were also about 10 tilefish boated the biggest a 35lb tilefish.
Some notable catches were:
Gino's Mautschke from Brooklyn NY with his limit of yellowfin.
Mike Gomez from Philadelphia PA caught 2 yellowfin.
Nuno DeCosta from Artsly NY caught 2 yellowfin and 2 longfin.
Rob Finkle caught 2 tuna and a 35lb tilefish.
The water temperature is been holding steady between 68 and 69 degrees which is quite warm for this time of year.
(Last year we we doing well in 63.5 degree water at this time)

There is space available on the trips sailing 5PM Friday November 6 & 7am Tuesday November 10.
(last year our best trip of the season was on November 9th when we boated 90 tuna)

Our offshore Giant Sea Bass season will kick off soon, and we are booking trips.

Last year fishing was good for giant sea bass and jumbo porgies with a few cod and pollock mixed in.

There is space available on trips sailing after November 14.
