Full moon Wallys
Good with several up to 6# female hefty girth , all jigging on NW NJ lake . Cold start with moon still up,we connected quickly . Surface temp mid fifties plenty of pan fish complete with several slab crappies .
Afternoon bite died & very tough until dark . My neighbor invites me to go with him on several fall jig trips in fall so I'm know expert on walleyes but like jig in' in fall ! Hard to break away from daily trout habit with all those nice trout available but pleasant change & a pleasure to fish with an excellent tournament winning Wally angler to show me the ropes . 80% of fish & all bigger fish 25' to 30' No thermocline All jigged spoons Approximately 30 fish caught on day Rock points with drop per above proved best Water slight chop - turbid clouds all day  |

Re: Full moon Wallys
Maybe I wasn't clear enough I mentioned many pan fish included in our catch and several Walleyes first sentence ,not 30 Walleyes which I never said , for the record there were 8 Walleyes , rest all mixed bag crappie , gills , bass , perch . We did not fish night , got on lake before daybreak with moon still up ,fished till dark
All eyes were released . |
Re: Full moon Wallys
8 walleyed in one shot? Still more than I've ever gotten in one trip, nice job!

Re: Full moon Wallys
