First Pike
 

Went to one of the fall stocked areas yesterday (Saturday 10/17)...not really in search of trout but figured if nothing else was happening I'd give 'em a shot. Nailed a 2lb bass, a perch and my first NORTHERN PIKE!!! I was so jazzed, it wasn't anything enormous but i've caught many pickerel before and can tell the pattern difference, so i knew what it was. Needless to say, I left the tout unharassed. Beautiful day out there too, with the fall colors starting and all of the bird/hawk migrations going on. Can't beat it.

Pretty cool. Cast a line, never know what you are going to get :)

Is this body of water stocked with pike or a tributary of one that is?

Thanks everyone! Skunk City, it is stocked with pike and the river that feeds into it is stocked with trout.
